Minutes – Mitman NA Board of Directors Meeting, November 6, 2024

- Approval of minutes of the October 19 general membership meeting: to be approved at the meeting on December 4, 2024, pending additions and corrections by the Board. Approved minutes to be submitted to Neighborhood Services.
- Treasurer’s Report: by Mary Martin. $110.00 collected in membership fees at the Oct. 19, 2024, meeting. Account total = $2,320.56.
- New Business
- Harold Hallikainen to send revised Bylaws to Neighborhood Services
- All Officers to complete online form at Neighborhood Services web site
- Update Association mailing address from Martin to Hallikainen residence
- Approve Banking Resolution for changes at bank
Resolved: Bank authority will be transferred from former Treasurers Mary Martin and Emily Endreson to Harold Hallikainen, Ali Bickford, and Robin Steinberg. Board members authorized to sign checks are the President and Vice President. The CFO will fill out, but not sign, checks. Approved.
- Complete Articles of Incorporation-Harold Hallikainen will be the “statutory agent” for the newly formed MNA corporation. He will make a form to collect each officer’s name. address, etc. to be filled out at the next meeting as required by the IRS.
- Block Party: No information on the block party has been received. The Board voted to authorize Ali (who is acquainted with the neighbor who is staging the party) to spend up to $300.00, primarily to publicize the party.
- Neighborhood Yard Sale: Notice can be posted in the newsletter when the time comes.
- Old Business
- Neighborhood Crime: Love Cabaret is responsible for the vast majority of crime in Mitman. Robin Steinberg suggested, and the Board agreed, to devote next month’s meeting to developing strategies for shutting it down. Robin moved to meet with Karen Ulich armed with crime statistics, meeting minutes, and documentation of agreements Love Cabaret has made with the neighborhood and failed to comply with. The motion carried unanimously.
Watershed Park: Keith Pullen shared the latest ground plan showing the retention ponds, boulders, greenery, and pathway. Keith is in touch with Logan from the city, but there are no new developments due to disruptions related to the elections. Keith will follow up.
