Several members of the Board met with Ward 6 Councillor Karen Uhlich and TPD Captain Belinda Morales to discuss several crime items. Ms. Uhlich and Capt. Morales will be following up on those issues; and we will all meet again Wednesday, January 29. The Board will provide more information about outcomes after that meeting.
We urge everyone to call 911 when experiencing or witnessing a criminal event. We know it can sometimes be frustrating because the police don’t come promptly, sometimes not at all. TPD is under-staffed and must prioritize. However, all calls are recorded and data is compiled to determine chronic problems that require investigation.
