SAHUARA / COPPER-FLOWER BICYCLE BOULEVARDS PUBLIC DESIGN POP-UPS The City of Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) is planning two new bicycle boulevard projects: Sahuara Bicycle Boulevard, which extends about 4.9 miles from Glenn Street to Golf Links Road, and Copper-Flower Bicycle Boulevard which extends about 5.9 miles from Fairview Avenue to Swan Road. The Sahuara and Copper-Flower Bicycle Boulevard projects use low volume neighborhood streets to expand our citywide low-stress biking network by creating east/west and north/south routes to jobs, neighborhood destinations, schools, and parks. These improvements are funded through the federal Regional Transportation Alternative Grants (RTAG) program, with a funding match by the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA).Join us at an upcoming event for an opportunity to review the latest design, learn more about the traffic safety improvements, and to give your input.
