- 3/12/26 Harold Hallikainen filed the Annual 2026 AZ Corp Commission paperwork. Next filing due 3/12/27.

- 6/2026 – Meeting room reservation for second half 2026 – Ali Bickman
- Discussion of which copies of the minutes should be kept in the CIO folder on Google Drive. Robin Steinberg and Susan Patania to review CIO folder and remove outdated documents.
- Treasurer’s Report: The Association has $2,308.90 in the bank. Dues in the amount of $190.00 were collected at the Annual Meeting. Wells Fargo is increasing its monthly service charge to $15.00 if our balance is less than $2,000.
- Old and Ongoing Business
- Watershed Park: Plants are alive and well. Ali Bickford spread wildflower seeds over the area. Dog waste has become a problem. Board members volunteered for periodic watering using a hose from Keith’s mother’s house across the street. Boulders installation is the next step toward completing the park.
- Safe Streets Mini-Grant: Ali Bickman applied for speed bumps and additional stop signs for Van Buren and First Streets. The city will respond to the application by March 1st.
- Area Plan: Highland Vista, Sewell, and Highland Park Neighborhood Associations communicated that they want to be included. Ali Bickford will contact Rebecca Ruopp.
- Use of Sewell School Playground: Project TUSD is a pilot program in which ten schools offered their playgrounds for public use. The city maintains (trash collection, water, insurance, etc.) the playgrounds through an intergovernmental agreement. Miranda Schubert will be the new liaison. Ali Bickford plans to meet with Michelle from Sewell and David from Thunderbird Heights to discuss approaching Ms. Schubert about joining the project.
- Update on Construction and Road Diet: Plans are for the Sahuara to Wilmot portion to be completed in mid-2027. TUSD, the Dept. of Transportation, and Tucson Water have different perspective on road construction. Ali Bickford will email Rebecca Ruopp about the Area Plan, and other Neighborhood Associations about GSI, the Alamo Greenway, the Road Diet, and opening the Sewell playground.
- New Business
- Jennifer Beard contacted neighbor Lydia with suggestions for resolving the problem of unhoused people camping in her easement and loud music from the tire store. Jennifer has extensive personal experience with constructive approaches to both issues.
